One of the country's leading process engineering companies, DPS Engineering, is to move its headquarters to Blackrock Castle, on the River Lee in Cork city, after buying it through Lisney for £800,000. It is located just 200 metres from the Jack Lynch Tunnel, which will open next March. DPS plans to restore the castle to provide a full video conference suite and 8,000 sq ft of office space to house 50 of the company's 180 employees. Overseas clients will have the use of a purpose-built apartment in the castle, which has been used in recent years as a restaurant and bar. DPS designs and manages the construction of pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities for international clients in Ireland and abroad.
