Sandycove residents will be interested in an application to demolish one of its landmark properties, a large corner house on Elton Park. It has its own orchard, but not for much longer, it seems. The half-acre property, Ard Mhuire, was sold for just over £1.5 million at auction earlier this year to a consortium represented by Hanby Wallace solicitors. Now, planning permission has been lodged to build 13 apartments in a four-storey block there.
