Tuesday (October 10th) John Weldon Auctioneers, Cows' Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin. Auction of Jewellery, silver & collectibles. Some 65 per cent of lots sold. A diamond and tanzanite cluster ring set in platinum, with a valuation which states the tanzanite is 2.52cts and diamonds total 0.75cts, valued at €10,900 in April 2017, sold for €2,100 (€2,000-€3,000; an Irish one kilo bar of sterling silver, numbered 004 and dated 2017, sold for €650 (€600-€800); and, a marine chronometer by John Skellorm, which cost £18 in 1881, the year it was made, €2,600 (€2,500-€4,500).
