A strong price of £1,150,000 was secured at a Lisney auction yesterday for 54 Kenilworth Square, Rathgar, Dublin 6, a two-storey over garden level five-bedroom detached house on a quarter-acre site. Three parties competed at the auction, which opened with a bid of £750,000. The guide price was over £850,000.

Elsewhere in Dublin 6, a 15-room semi-detached period house at 2 Maxwell Road, Rathgar, made £500,000 through Lisney.

Also in Rathgar, a three-bedroom townhouse at 63b Garville Lane was withdrawn at £260,000 and is under negotiation through Gunne.

In Terenure, 10 Whitton Road, a three-bedroom Edwardian house, made £360,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

A two-bedroom mid-terraced period house at 40 Upper Rathmines Road was sold at auction for £250,000 through Douglas Newman Good.

A five-bedroom house at 95 Grove Park made £295,000 through Youngs.

A three-bedroom bungalow on 0.3 acres, Lisnaskea, at Sandford Close, Ranelagh, was withdrawn at £450,000 and sold later for over £500,000 by Hamilton Osborne King.

At 10 Ranelagh Road, a three-bedroom terraced property in the centre of the village, made £335,000 through Gunne. A Victorian townhouse at 21 Elmwood Avenue, Ranelagh, was sold at a Gunne auction for £300,000.

Also in Ranelagh, 12 Annesley Park, a villa-style three-bedroom house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £368,000.

A five-bedroom detached house at 42 South Hill, Dartry, was sold at a Lisney auction for £555,000.

Elsewhere in Dartry, 7 Richview Park, a five-bedroom semi-detached house, made £507,000 through Gunne.

Off the South Circular Road, in Dublin 8, 42 St Alban's Road, a single-storey two-bedroom Victorian house, fetched £190,000 at a Douglas Newman Good auction.

Elsewhere in Dublin 8, 26 Dufferin Avenue, a redbrick terraced house off South Circular Road, was withdrawn at £240,000 by Douglas Newman Good, which is quoting £260,000.

South Dublin

IN Foxrock, Hamilton Osborne King secured £1,130,000 at auction for Glencroe, at Knocksinna. The detached five-bedroom art deco house stands on half an acre and includes a two-bedroom annexe.

Sherry FitzGerald sold Thornfield, a six-bedroom detached house on half an acre at Westminster Road, Foxrock, at auction for £900,000.

At 50 Torquay Road, Foxrock, Hamilton Osborne King sold a four-bedroom detached house at auction for £710,000.

Also in Foxrock, 50 Hainault Road, a four-bedroom detached house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house, Arlington, at 9 Old Bray Road, Cornelscourt, was withdrawn at £330,000 and sold later through Hamilton Osborne King.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house at 5 Priory Drive, Stillorgan, made £365,000 through Terry Halpenny.

In Mount Merrion, 33 Callary Road, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, was sold at a Lisney auction for £340,000.

Herons Ghyll, a five-bedroom bungalow on 1.7 acres at Rathmichael, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £480,000.

A three-bedroom first floor apartment at 3 Berwick House, Coliemore Road, Dalkey, was withdrawn by Gunne, which is quoting "about £385,000".

Meanwhile, a four-bedroom bungalow, Dnesgnir, on Ardbrugh Road, Dalkey, was withdrawn at £365,000 by Harper O'Grady, which sold it later for a higher price.

Battleford, a detached five-bedroom house with a self-contained apartment on two-thirds of an acre at Church Road, Killiney, was sold at auction for £710,000 through Daphne L. Kaye & Associates.

Also in Killiney, Beech Wood, a four-bedroom detached bungalow at Albany Court, was withdrawn at £340,000 and sold later for a higher price through Douglas Newman Good.

In Monkstown, a two-bedroom penthouse at 13 Alma Road was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £275,000.

A one-bedroom apartment at 24 Maretimo House, Newtown Avenue, Blackrock, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £190,000.

In Ballsbridge, a five-bedroom Victorian semi-detached house at 67 Lansdowne Road was withdrawn at £800,000 by Lisney, which sold it later for about £1 million.

Nearby, at 12 Ailesbury Gardens, a four-bedroom semi-detached house with planning permission for an extension, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £610,000.

At 3 Ailesbury Road, a two-storey over garden level Victorian house was withdrawn at £1.8 million and is under negotiation through Sherry FitzGerald.

Also in Ballsbridge, 33 Upper Grand Canal Street, a three-bedroom mid-terraced house, made £300,000 through Lisney.

Nearby at 60 Whitethorn Road, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn at £335,000 by Ross McParland, which is quoting £395,000.

A four-bedroom detached house at 2 Woodlawn, Upper Churchtown Road, Dublin 14, made £342,000 by Herman White.

North Dublin

In Castleknock, a five-bedroom detached house at 113 Castleknock Park, was sold at auction for £400,000 by Gerard Farrelly.

At 9 Hawthorn Lodge, Castleknock, a five-bedroom detached house, was sold at auction for £365,000 by Flynn & Associates.

Meanwhile, close to the Phoenix Park, 1 Georgian Village, a four-bedroom detached house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £700,000-plus.

Also in Dublin 15, Mara-Rani, a detached four-bedroom house, on 0.88-acres at Luttrellstown Road, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £525,000.

In Dublin 9, Gunne secured £312,000 at auction for 29 Glandore Road, Drumcondra, a three-bedroom semi-detached house.

Sherry FitzGerald is seeking £285,000 for 208 Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, following its withdrawal from auction.

Also in Drumcondra, 33 Griffith Avenue, a three-bedroom endof-terrace house, was sold prior to auction for about £280,000 by Hamilton Osborne King.

In Clontarf, Egremont, at 6 Hollybrook Road, a six-bedroom semi-detached house, made £495,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

A three-bedroom semi-detached house at 27 Seafield Avenue made £331,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

Hamilton Osborne King secured £232,000 at auction for 40 Copeland Grove, Clontarf, a three-bedroom semi-detached house.

In Killester, Dublin 5, 20 Furry Park Road, a three-bedroom endof-terrace house, was withdrawn at £200,000 and sold later for a higher price through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Sutton, Dublin 13, a fourbedroom detached bungalow at 28 Dublin Road sold at a Douglas Newman Good auction for £380,000.

On the Howth Road, Pinecroft, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 161 Howth Road, made £344,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

Wicklow

In Newcastle, The Grange, a period house on 350 acres, was sold at auction in one lot for £3.4 million through joint agents Jackson-Stops McCabe and Glenroe Estates.

In Greystones, Beg-Meil, at the Burnaby, a four-bedroom detached house with a swimming-pool, was withdrawn by Jackson Stops McCabe, which is quoting £430,000.

In Bray, a three-bedroom bungalow, St Rita's, Galtrim Park, was sold at auction for £215,000, through H.J. Byrne.

Also in Bray, the same agent secured £385,000 for Station House, a four-bedroom house on Station Road.

In Co Cork, Ellerslie, a detached period house on 0.7 acres at Well Road, Douglas, was withdrawn at £740,000 and sold later for a higher price through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Tipperary, a six-bedroom period house on 12 acres, Lady's Abbey, at Ardfinnan, Clonmel, was withdrawn at £340,000, and is under negotiation through P.F. Quirke.

A five-bedroom house on 21 acres, Lickbla House, in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, was sold at auction for £500,000 through Jackson-Stops McCabe.

A three-bedroom cottage at Bridgeside Cottages, Kildangan, Co Kildare, was withdrawn by Hamilton Osborne King, which is quoting £197,500.

A 35-acre farm at Turnerstown, Athy, Co Kidare, was sold at auction for £170,000 through Coonan.

Also in Co Kildare, Annalough Lodge, a four-bedroom cottage on 1.25 acres at Inchaquire, was sold at auction for £142,500 by Colm McEvoy Auctioneers.

Conways public house at 70 & 71 Parnell Street, Dublin 1, was withdrawn at £1.75 million by joint agents Bohan and John Younge, who are quoting over £2 million.

A Georgian office building at 38/39 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2, was withdrawn at £1.5 million and is under negotiation through Keane Mahony Smith.

A 13-bedroom guesthouse, Lansdowne Lodge, at 6 Lansdowne Terrace, Shelbourne Road, was withdrawn at £1.5 million and is under negotiation through French Estates.

Also in Ballsbridge, another guesthouse, Bush House, at 33 Northumberland Road, was withdrawn at £1.1 million by Gunne.
