In the biggest residential property sale this year, Lisney has secured in the region of £5 million (E;6.34m) after auction for Grove House, a nine-bedroom Crampton-built house on Hainault Road. The house stands of three acres of grounds, which are likely to be developed for housing.
Joint agents Lisney and Jackson-Stops are quoting £4.75 million (E;6.03m) for Clontra House, a large house on 20 acres on Quinns Road in Shankill, after it failed to sell at auction.
In Rathmichael, Co Dublin, Fernhill on Ferndale Road, a five-bedroom detached house on one acre was withdrawn by Daphne L Kaye & Associates, which is seeking £900,000 (E;1.14m).
Back in Foxrock, a six-bedroom detached house on 0.45 acres called The Cedars on Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £900,000 (E;1.14m).
In Mount Merrion, 36 Wilson Road, a three-bedroom bungalow, made £380,000 (E;482,500) at a Lisney auction yesterday.
Douglas Newman Good is seeking over £550,000 (E;698,355) for 6 Silchester Wood in Glenageary, following its withdrawal from auction.
In D·n Laoghaire, 1 Rosmeen Gardens, a six-bedroom house, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £620,000 (E;787,237). In Goatstown, Dublin 14, 4 Hollywood Drive, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, was sold at a Lisney auction for £287,000 (E;364,414).
In Greystones, Co Wicklow, a mobile home on 0.5 acres at Bahana, Lower Kindlestown Road, was withdrawn at £80,000 (E;101,589) by Jackson-Stops which is seeking £120,000 (E;152,368).
DUBLIN 2 & 4
Jackson-Stops secured £1.45m (E;1.84m) at auction for Strand Lodge at 5 Strand Road, Sandymount, a six-bedroom two-storey over garden level period house which has been refurbished.
Off Bath Avenue, Dublin 4, number 5 Margaret Place, a two-bedroom cottage, was sold at auction for £183,000 (E;232,362) through Lisney.
DUBLIN 6 & 8
In Dartry, a five-bedroom house, Glenvar at 12 St Kevin's Park in Dartry, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald.
The same agent has secured over the withdrawal figure of £1.2m (E;1.52m) after auction for 4 Rostrevor Terrace in Rathgar, a two-storey over garden level four-bedroom Victorian house.
In Ranelagh, 52 Lower Beechwood Avenue, a renovated three-bedroom Victorian house, was withdrawn at £440,000 (E;558,684) by Douglas Newman Good, which sold it later for a higher figure.
NORTH DUBLIN
In Clontarf, Dublin 3, 83 Mount Prospect Avenue, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn at £590,000 (E;749,145) by Sherry FitzGerald which sold it later for over £600,000 (E;761,842).
A 25-acre site with planning permission for a bungalow at Kilreesk, St Margarets, Co Dublin was withdrawn by Ganly Craigie which is quoting over £250,000 (E;317,434).
PRIVATE TREATY
In Dublin 8, a three-bedroom house at 22 Longwood Avenue, Portobello, has been sold for around £380,000 (E;482,500) through Sherry FitzGerald.
Meanwhile at 42 Montainview Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 6, a four-bedroom semi-detached house has sold for close to £498,000 (E;632,329) through Lisney.
PROVINCIAL
In Mullingar, Co Westmeath, a 75-acre non-residential farm at Vilanstown, Gaybrook, was sold at auction through Duncan Auctioneers in two lots. Lot 1 comprising 57 acres was sold for £290,000 (E;368,224) while Lot 2 with 18 acres made £140,000 (E;177,763).
T E Potterton sold The Old School, at Collinstown, Co Westmeath, an old four-bedroom schoolhouse on 1.5 acres after auction for over the withdrawal figure of £315,000 (E;399,967)
Gunne Residential sold the Orchard, a three-bedroom detached house at Headfort Demesne, Kells, Co Meath prior to auction for about £295,000 (E;374,572).
A 17-acre site at Blackhall, Dunboyne, was withdrawn at £160,000 (E;203,158) and is under negotiation through McDonald Bros.
Still in Co Meath, a 58-acre non-residential farm at Cloncarneil, Kildalkey sold at auction in two lots: Lot 1 comprising 18 acres made £105,000 (E;133,322) while Lot 2 with 40 acres sold for £115,000 (E;146,019) by T E Potterton.
A 2.75-acre with a two-bedroom cottage at Freynestown, Co Meath was sold at auction for £113,000 (E;143,480) through Jordan Auctioneers.
A four-bedroom house on six acres, Maddenstown Lodge at The Curragh, Co Kildare was withdrawn at £885,000 (E;1.12m) by Jordan auctioneers which sold lat later for over £900,000 (E;1.14m)
In Co Laois, Sothern Auctioneers withdrew The Chestnuts, a house on an acre at Portarlington, at £260,000 (E;330,131). It is currently under negotiation.
An old farmhouse on nine acres, Rushbrook House at Ballygibbon, Edenderry, Co Offaly was withdrawn at £150,000 (E;190,460) and sold later for a higher figure through Eugene Byrne & Sons
Jordan Auctioneers sold two houses at 4 and 6 Dublin Street, Carlow in one lot for £152,000 (E;193,000).
Also in Co Carlow, Patrick Dawson is seeking £700,000 (E;888,816) for Moatalicia House at Rathoe, an 80-acre residential farm following its withdrawal from auction.
A five-bedroom bungalow, Ard na Coille at Foynes, Co Limerick was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald-Murphy.
COMMERCIAL
A two-storey over garden level office property with car-parking at 89 Upper Georges Street in D·n Laoghaire was sold after auction for over £550,000 (E;698,355) by Hamilton Osborne King.
In Dublin 3, McCaugheys public house at 113 Clonliffe Road, was withdrawn by Jackson Stops which is quoting £600,000 (E;761,842).
Lisney sold the 7,000 square-foot Eircom premises in Macroom, Co Cork at auction for £530,000 (E;672,961).
In Waterford, The Candy Store licenses premises at St John's Park, was withdrawn by John Rohan.
In Edenderry, Co Offaly, a residential/commercial property at 58 JKL Street, was withdrawn and is under negotiation through Colm McEvoy.
In Co Louth, the Valley Inn at Mullery Cross, Dunleer, was withdrawn at £450,000 (E;5 71,382) by Remax-Royal County which is quoting £475,000-plus (E;603,125-plus).
In Dundalk, Co Louth, a former Bank of Ireland premises at 16 Park Street was sold at auction yesterday for £1.28 million (E;1.62m) through Laurence Gunne.
