The wheels have finally been set in motion for one of the largest sites in Dublin's south dockland area. Dublin Docklands Development Authority has secured planning permission to start work on the site which stretches from Sir John Rogerson's Quay up to Pearse Street. It was an unusual application which fits the peculiar requirements of the old gas company site as, before the authority can lay as much as a brick, they have "to remediate the contaminated land on the site".
