Citywest, Dublin's new-style business park, is attracting an increasing number of international high-tech companies. The latest additions to the campus, eight business units developed on behalf of Irish Life, have been sold for £69 to £70 per sq ft.
The total space involved was 41,000 sq ft and the units ranged in size from 3,888 to 6,312 sq ft. The purchasers include YKK, a multinational zip manufacturer, Production Equipment Ltd, Irish Pneumatic Services, All Water Systems and Puffin Investments.
About half the buildings are set aside as office space, making them particularly suitable for small domestic or international companies seeking a good location. Jones Lang Wootton said it has had inquiries for similar units in two new blocks of 34,000 sq ft, which are shortly to be built.
Citywest is strategically located along the Naas dual carriageway, a short distance from the M50 ring-road. It is being developed by Davy Hickey Properties.
