OTHER than Kirsty and Phil over on Channel 4, there aren't many property programmes on TV these days so MyHome.ieis sponsoring a reality TV show instead – Fade Street, which is being touted as the Irish version of MTV's The Hills.

The connection with property is tenuous at best but search hard enough and you will find one. For one thing there’s the gripping rental plotline. The show is based on two girls moving out of home for the first time in to an apartment on Fade Street in Dublin.

Louise Johnstonis an economics graduate and part-time night club hostess from the capital while Dani Robinsonfrom Waterford is a professional body-piercer who's enjoying a year out from studying for a degree in psychology.

Two others who will feature prominently are Cici Cavanagh, a fine-art student and club promoter and Vogue Williams, model, waitress and part-time DJ. The show will follow the lives of the girls and other twenty-somethings and will be shot mainly in Dublin but also in locations around the country such as Lahinch and Cork.

Angela Keegan, MD of MyHome.ie, is keen to highlight the property angle saying the show is all about young people starting out in their first home, sharing an apartment and all of the ups and downs that go with that.

"We are very excited about the show and we wish all the girls the very best with it. The Hillsis mega and we think Fade Streetwill be too. It's a great fit for our brand and there is a lot of potential for link ups with our Facebook page where we will be showing unseen footage from the series" Keegan said.

The show starts tonight on RTÉ2 at 9pm.
