GALWAY-BASED Urban Haven (091-796255/ 087-2215972) has the agency for Pacific Green International, a range of furniture and architectural products that are gaining fans in high places.
The furniture collection is made from palm wood – a relatively new timber sourced from senile coconut plantations and which has been endorsed by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation and by Rainforest Relief. Architects Foster + Partners is using some of its floorboards, building columns and screens in its Abu Dhabi Central Market development.
Meanwhile, the Galway firm has started to supply House of Fraser, Glasgow with its furniture collection and the range is expected in upmarket Edinburgh department store, Jenners before Christmas.
