THE Portugese villa once owned by the late Formula 1 racing driver Ayrton Senna in Denis O’Brien’s Quinta do Lago resort in Portugal, is on the market for €10 million through Quinta do Lago Real Estate.
The villa has a floodlit tournament-standard tennis court, four-hole putting green and solar heated swimming pool.
Inside, it has six double bedrooms, all en suite, and a number of reception rooms with terraces that have views over protected green belt. The 10,500sq m (113,000sq ft) plot includes a three-bed guesthouse .
Astonishingly, the Quinta do Lago office in Cork claims that unlike the rest of Portugal (and most of Europe) property prices at the resort where David Beckham, Ronaldo and the Bennetton family have homes have “appreciated 30 per cent since 2005”.
