ONE country auctioneer who wasn’t distressed last weekend was Peter McCreery of Sherry FitzGerald McCreery in Kilkenny. Along with joint agent O’Keeffe Auctioneers, he sold Weston House – a large detached Kilkenny period home on 2.5 acres – after auction for €755,000, pretty close to the AMV of €795,000.
It was bought in trust by the highest bidder – another auctioneer, Paddy Jordan of Jordan Town and Country Auctioneers.
