The German discount supermarket Lidl has failed in its latest attempt to secure planning permission for a part two-storey foodstore at Nangor Road in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. The company had earlier been refused permission by the South Dublin County Council to demolish a snooker hall on the site to allow a new development of 107,316 sq ft. Elsewhere, D·n Laoghaire County Council has granted permission to Niall Gilna to change the use of a premises at 1, Old Dublin Road, Stillorgan from a dry cleaners to a public house.
