The Ever Ready Centre in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, is to be redeveloped as a mixed commercial and residential scheme if planning permission is forthcoming from Dublin Corporation.

Businessman John O'Sullivan has sought planning approval for four ground-floor car-related commercial units, 37 basement car-parking spaces and 28 apartments on four upper floors.

In the city centre, planning permission has been sought to open a bar at the former Reds restaurant underneath the Manchester United shop at the junction of D'Olier Street and Westmoreland Street.
