The new scheme has been designed by architect Conroy Crowe Kelly as a self-sufficient neighbourhood. There is planning for a comprehensive range of local services including a creche, supermarket, sports facilities and a good ancillary road network.
The tree-lined public park attached to the house borders this new phase of Ongar. A scenic stretch of Hansfield Road will be pedestrianised, once an alternative road network is in place.
