International young women's fashion label, Morgan, is to re-open at two locations under a different franchise operator following the closure of the label's two main Dublin retail outlets.
The closed outlets, at 44 Henry Street and 36 Wicklow Street, had been operated by Joy Clothing, whose business interests also include the Airwave fashion shops and a number of high-profile labels, such as In Wear.
The leasehold of the Henry Street store has since been sold on for around £250,000 (€317,500), but Joy Clothing retained the 1,200 sq ft Wicklow Street outlet for a new fashion shop.
Airwave, carrying the In Wear label, has now opened at 36 Wicklow Street and will mainly carry this Danish label, along with a range of shoes that has proved popular at the main Airwave store on Grafton Street.
The two new Morgan outlets will be situated very close to the label's previous stores, and will be operated by Barry & Sons, who also carry the French fashion label Angel and teen label Japan.
Morgan's flagship store will now be located at 16 Henry Street - until recently the site of the main Japan store.
The second store will open at 33 Wicklow Street, the site of the former Angel shop which closed in the last few weeks.
