A LARGE Edwardian house on an acre of garden, on one of the best roads in Bray, Co Wicklow, has had its price cut by €300,000 in an effort to sell. Ard na Greine on King Edward Road has changed hands only once since it was built around 1905 by a family of builders called Hall. The house was sold in 1967 for £9,700 by estate agent HJ Byrne which is handling the sale again this time around. The price has been cut to €1.65 million from €1.95 million.
The six-bedroom house has kept many of its original features including ornamental fireplaces and stained glass windows. New additions include a brand new kitchen from Newcastle Kitchens, up to date bathrooms and cloakroom facilities and a cellar with an office for the wine buff. It’s an exceptionally spacious house with three large reception rooms opening off an impressive hallway.
