Allsop to bring down hammer on nearly 400 properties

Two-day event to take place in RDS in September

Autumn heralds the busiest time in the property market calendar and Allsop’s upcoming residential auction catalogue reflects this.

Over 375 properties will come under the hammer at a two-day event in Dublin’s RDS on Tuesday, September 8th and Thursday, September 10th.

The first day will feature a mix of commercial and residential properties, with the second solely residential.With 290 residential properties to be auctioned at a combined reserve of over €35 million, it will be Allsop’s biggest sale of properties in Dublin, with 75 of the properties for sale based in the capital.

Allsop's head of residential auctions, Jonathan Fenn, says there has been plenty of interest in the sale already.

“One of the complaints in the market over the last few years has been that the stock isn’t there, so we’re thankful to be able to bring such a big selection to the market. Since the properties went live on our site last Friday, the phones have been hopping.”

Among the Dublin highlights are a four-bed semi-detached house in Foxrock at a €495,000-€525,000 reserve; a five-bed detached house in Roganstown Golf Club, Swords, with a reserve of €600,000-€650,000; and a detached two-bed period gate lodge on Mount Merrion Avenue at €370,000.

Other highlights include Kilwick House, a detached five-bed house with 21 acres in Dunlavin, reserve €350,000, and 42 acres at Capranny Stud, Kildalkey Road, Trim, Co Meath, reserve €350,000-€400,000.
