Allen & Jacobs is the latest estate agents to set up shop in Dublin.
The company, based at a stylish new office on the Lower Kilmacud Road in Stillorgan, is headed up by Andrew Allen and Gary Jacobs. They have over 22 years of experience selling property in Dublin between them. Allen & Jacobs is pitching itself as a specialist agency offering a "personalised service to clients selling or letting property".
Andrew Allen started his career with Douglas Newman Good, working at its Stillorgan office. Three years later he joined Gannon Estate Agents as branch manager of its Dundrum office. Recently he was branch manager of Gunne's Dún Laoghaire office. Gary Jacobs set up and managed a number of offices for Douglas Newman Good where he was an associate director and built up an in-depth knowledge of the Dublin property market.
Meanwhile, in Co Wicklow fine art and antique auctioneer Joe Mullen has moved into the property game. Mullens Property's new offices are beside the art and antiques headquarters at Laurel Park on the Old Bray Road in Woodbrook.
The new property department will be run by Sinead MacMahon, who worked for Taylors Countrywide Agents in the UK for four years. More recently she worked as a letting agent and property manager for Homefront Lettings Agency in the Dublin and Wicklow area. The new office will deal with all aspects of the residential market including sales, lettings, valuations, corporate leases and property management.
MTS Property, the Rathgar-based property management and lettings company, has branched into property sales. The firm, headed up by Louise Byrne, was set up as a property management company in 2000 but moved into lettings. Its new sales division will be managed by Arthur Bennett.
