Castleknock from €475,000:Complete with a high-quality fit-out, apartments at Auburn Park are impressively finished and well located, writes Fiona Tyrrell
New apartments in Dublin 15 have impressive fit-outs and a good location close to Castleknock village.
The final touches are being put to Auburn Park - a crescent-shaped apartment development on the Old Navan Road beside Brady's Garage.
The striking scheme was designed by CDP Architects and is being developed by Dublin-based Auburn Developments.
There are 45 apartments in total at the scheme, the first 10 of which are being released this weekend. Douglas Newman Good will be handling sales at two show units at the scheme.
Prices start at €475,000 for one-bedroom apartments with around 58sq m (623sq ft) of living space. Two-bedroom apartments with 79-87sq m (856-936sq ft) of living space are priced from €565,000.
Finally, 94sq m (1,010sq ft) three-bedroom duplexes cost from €750,000.
Prices include one underground car-parking space. Three-bedroom duplexes come with two car-parking spaces.
The scheme is within walking distance of Castleknock village and the Phoenix Park.
The big selling point at Auburn Park, however, is likely to be its high-quality fit-out.
Common areas are spacious and have marble tiles, oak-panelled walls and solid wooden doors.
Inside, the standard is even better. All units come complete with flooring - solid oak in the living areas and 100 per cent wood in a choice of three colours in the bedrooms. There is spot lighting throughout and dimmer switches.
Kitchens have a mix of high gloss and wenge fitted units and stylish cream quartz countertops - a nice change from the ubiquitous black granite. Built-in appliances are included in the price.
The main bathrooms have Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware, heated towel rails, attractive tiling and large mirrors.
All livingrooms are south-facing and feature large floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open out onto either terraces or balconies.
All bedrooms are doubles and feature solid wood built-in wardrobes.
The bedrooms, which face onto the new N3, feature windows with extra thick glass.
Landscaping at Auburn Park includes a large fountain at the entrance and a garden area with wooden gazebo, cast-iron garden seats and an attractive granite sculpture.
Maintenance fees will range from €1,650-€2,100 a year, according to the selling agent.
