Cullen House, a six-bedroom period house on 60 acres in Slane, Co Meath, has been sold at auction for £800,000 through Raymond Potterton Auctioneers. The ivy-clad Georgian house, which was owned by the same family since it was built in the 1790s, had a guide price of £700,000. The house, with views over the Boyne Valley, was built by the Bolton-Thoms family. Many original features, such as the pitch pine doors, shutters and staircase, are intact. Another country property, Colbinstown Mill House, on seven acres in Co Wicklow, was withdrawn at £450,000 and sold after auction for a higher price through Murphy Auctioneers.
In Brittas Bay, Co Wicklow, St Martha's, a derelict chalet standing on one-third of an acre, was sold at auction for £162,000 through Bradshaws.
Meanwhile, in south Dublin, Silvermere, a four-bedroom house backing on to Killiney Golf course, sold for £1.1 million through Gunne, approximately £300,000 over the £800,000-plus guide price.
In Dalkey, 18 Ulverton Road, a house with 11 main rooms, was withdrawn at £450,000 and sold after auction for a higher price through Tom O'Higgins.
In Glenageary, 95 Silchester Park, a four-bedroom home, was sold at auction for £341,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.
In Sandymount, 4 St John's Road, a four-bedroom house, was withdrawn at auction at £530,000. Agent Gunne is quoting £600,000.
Also in Sandymount, 42 St Alban's Park, a three-bedroom semi made £425,000 through Ross McParland.
In Terenure, 71 Whitehall Road, a three-bedroom bungalow, was withdrawn at auction by Sherry FitzGerald, which is now quoting £270,000.
In Clontarf, Coastguard Cottage, a three-bedroom cottage at 6 North Bull Island, was sold at auction for £334,000 through Jackson-Stops McCabe.
In Skerries, Balcunnin, a farmhouse on half an acre, was sold at auction for £168,000 through Kelly & Co.
In Corballis, Donabate, Cumisky Cooke Scales sold two lots of agricultural land at auction: 0.86 acres made £90,000 and a separate parcel of 7.5 acres sold for £250,000.
In Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, Pine Heights, a five-bedroom bungalow on one acre at Cookstown Road, was withdrawn at auction by Hamilton Osborne King, which is are now quoting £465,000.
A two-bedroom cottage on 2.5 acres at Glendalough was withdrawn by Jackson-Stops McCabe, which is quoting £250,000.
In Co Kildare, Boleybeg, Ballitore, a three-bedroom semidetached cottage on 1.1 acres, was withdrawn at auction and is under negotiation through Andrew J. Nolan & Associates.
Also in Co Kildare, 20 acres of non-residential land at Calverstown Little, Colbinstown, was sold at auction for £192,000 through Andrew J Nolan & Associates.
In Maynooth, Carraig House, Clonfert South, Co Kildare, a four-bedroom house on one acre, was sold at auction for £300,000 through Coonan Auctioneers.
In Co Meath, a period house at Navangate, Trim, was withdrawn at £220,000 and sold after auction for a higher price through Sherry FitzGerald Royal.
In Co Cavan, 21 acres of non-residential land at Lisgrey, Virginia, was withdrawn at £155,000 and sold after auction for a higher price through Raymond Potterton Auctioneers.
In Co Limerick, The Parochial House, a five-bedroom house on 2.5 acres at Murroe, was withdrawn at auction and is under negotiation through Lee Auctioneers.
