Two-bedroom stone cottage on c. about 0.75 acres in Bellewstown, Co Meath. Ten minutes from Drogheda and 25 minutes from Dublin Airport.
Describe the house
It was built in 1874 and retains many original features. The workmanship shines through, from the beautiful stone walls to the graceful dentils under the gutter boards.

There is an organic vegetable garden and a large woodland garden with mature oak and beech trees.
Why are you moving?
After 27 years we are moving abroad.
What is the best thing about the house?
It is light and airy. We love the ornate cast-iron fireplaces and the high ceiling in the livingroom. Wildlife seems to be as fond of our garden as we are! This summer we had the pleasure of observing deer grazing in the field at the back of the house.
And the neighbourhood?
Bellewstown has good leisure amenities: a golf course, pitch and putt, horse riding. The race course holds meetings twice a year. We have two pubs and a newly opened restaurant. Laytown beach is 15 minutes away.
Who'd like your home?
Anyone looking for a home with character and who prefers a rural location without being isolated.
