Davy Hickey Properties has secured planning permission to develop a 52-bedroom hotel alongside the former Royal Garter Stables at City West Business Park, on the Naas dual carriageway in west Dublin. The old stables are to be converted and used as a restaurant.

In Dublin 4, the owners of the Mespil Hotel have been granted permission to provide an additional 97 bedrooms and seven two-storey apartments alongside the hotel. In the city centre, An Bord Pleanala has blocked a plan by Zoe Developments to build 110 apartments in two blocks over a basement car-park at Oliver Bond Street and Augustine Street.
