Oh those superstitious property developers. A new apartment development planned for Islandbridge, Dublin 8, is being sold without a Number 13. Apparently the developer Cathal Mullen wanted to build 20 apartments on the site but only got planning permission for 19. So he lopped off Number 13 for good luck.

What next? A ban on black cats in new housing estates and a general prohibition on ladders?
