GOREY: FROM €209,500 A NEW BATCH of houses and apartments at Station Court in Gorey, Co Wexford come to the market this week, writes Fiona Tyrrell.
Station Court is a scheme of 85 houses and apartments on The Avenue in Gorey. It has a good location - opposite the train station, beside the new town centre development and a short stroll from Main Street. So far most of the buyers at the Pat Neville & Sons scheme have been first-time buyers, many who commute into Dublin by train.
Two-bed apartments with 73-78sq m (785-840sq ft) are priced from €209,500. Two-bed houses with 86sq m (930sq ft) are priced from €245,000. Three-bed houses are priced from €279,500. They have 99-116sq m (1,070-1,245sq ft) of space.
Prices have been paired back since the previous launch in October 2007 with average reductions of 15 per cent.
Back then prices started at €250,000 for two-bed apartments and two-bed houses were from €285,000. Three-bed houses were priced from €320,000.
Selling agent Hooke & MacDonald will be taking bookings at show units on site this weekend. Units are now complete and are ready for occupation, according to the selling agent.
Townhouses have built-in wardrobes, modern kitchens, fireplaces, tiled kitchens and bathrooms, and a small back garden.
The new Gorey Town Centre is just across the road from Station Court. It has 19 shops, a medical centre, restaurants, a crèche and offices as well as a large Dunnes Stores.
Maintenance fees range from €615 to €1,350.
