GLENAGEARY: €1.675MA €200,000 CUT in the asking price may rekindle interest in a four-bedroom house at Spencer Villas in Glenageary that has been lingering on the market

Number 25, a four-bedroom semi with a good-sized back garden, started off with an asking price of €2.1 million, but the price was cut in February to €1.875m and has now been cut again to €1.675 million in an effort to get it away, says sales agent Darren Pickford of Gunne.

During the boom years, houses in this popular cul-de-sac were quick to sell, and at strong prices. The appeal remains the same - it's a nice quiet address, with plenty of young families, in easy reach of Glasthule's shops and cafés. There are good schools nearby and the Dart is a short walk away.

Number 25 has been modernised and extended to 210sq m (2,260sq ft) and is in walk-in condition with attractive light oak flooring through the ground floor.
