CO KILDARE: €1.35M:THE CURRAGH home of the late Michael Osborne, a key figure on the Irish horse racing scene, is to be auctioned on May 22nd.

Paddy Jordan of Jordan Town & Country Estate Agents is guiding €1.35 milllion for the house at Rathbride in Co Kildare. Set on two acres at the edge of the Curragh it includes a paddock and mature gardens.

Osborne, who died in late 2005, is a former managing director of the National Stud and was chosen by Sheikh Mohammed to develop his first stud farm operations in Ireland and also established international racing in Dubai.

Built in the 1960s, the five-bed bungalow is over 371sq m (4,000sq ft).
