Ashfield Park is a quiet, late-Victorian terrace of redbrick houses in Terenure, Dublin 6W. Number 13 was built in 1891 and bought by its present owner three-and-a-half years ago - and has since been carefully refurbished. The house has the high ceilings and proportions typical of its time, and has had many original features restored.

Number 13 has three bedrooms and two reception rooms and, given that it sold for £238,000 on its last outing and has since been renovated fully, the terraced house is likely to make the £425,000 (€539,640) being quoted by Mason Estates prior to auction on April 12th.

The present owner admits to having bought the house because of the well-appointed fireplaces, all four of which are original. Other period features include pine floors throughout, leaded glass insets in the front door, cornice work and ceiling centre-roses. However, The original sash windows have been replaced with double-glazed uPVC windows.

A dark gold colour predominates in the house and, together with the honey tones of the timber floors, gives the house a warm intimacy.
