A week ago, 29 coach-houses in the Forest Park development at Courtown Harbour, Co Wexford, were sold out. This weekend, estate agents Hooke & MacDonald are taking bookings for 27 two-bedroom and three-bedroom holiday houses priced from £115,000 in another scheme in Courtown.

Wexford-based contractors Cleary & Doyle will open showhouses on Saturday and Sunday afternoon in the Glencove scheme. Only four two-bedroom houses are available, each with a floor area of 1,100 sq ft and costing from £115,000. There will be 23 three-bedroom units with 1,380 sq ft from £135,000.

Glencove will qualify for Section 23 tax incentives for investors and interest relief on borrowings. The houses will have bay windows and some of them also come with balconies.

According to the agents, the letting market for houses of this quality is improving all the time.
