A section 23 apartment development in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, goes on the market today with prices ranging from £65,000 for one-bedroom units, and from £75,000 for two-bedroom homes. Hooke and MacDonald and Paul Reynolds and Co are handling sales.

The Westside apartments will have a total of 53 one and two-bedroom units in two blocks on the principal street. Letterkenny has a population of 15,000 and overlooks Lough Swilly. It has an Institute of Technology with 1,800 students as well as three shopping centres, a theatre c under construction, and six golf courses in a 20-mile radius.

Show apartments are due to open this weekend and bookings will be taken for the first phase of the scheme. The prices will include kitchen appliances and a full furniture fit-out. The two-bedroom apartments are mainly 660 sq ft and the one-bedrooms are 470 sq ft. Most of the apartments will be completed before April 5th so will qualify for tax relief in the current tax year.
