Co Kilkenny from €275,000: Twenty houses launch from plans this weekend at The Greens, a development of 100 three and four-bedroom houses near the village of Thomastown, Co Kilkenny.
The Greens site is across the road from a train station and a short walk from Mount Juliet, a fact that attracted golfers in an earlier launch.
Hooke & MacDonald and Walter Walsh of Thomastown are joint selling agents. The builder is Pierse Homes.
The Greens is designed by architect Feargall Kenny in traditional style, with good open green areas and kerb-side tree-planting.
Prices range from €275,000 for three-bed semis of 104sq m (1,120sq ft) to four-bed semi-detached and detached houses of 124sq m (1,340sq ft) priced from €310,000.
Interior standard features will include contemporary built-in wardrobes and good storage space.
Fair-sized back gardens will also include decking areas. Landscaping will make the most of the location's l beauty with its huge trees and river scenery.
Building work has started on the site and the first houses should be ready by spring 2006.
In the meantime, bookings are accepted at the offices of the joint agents in Dublin and Kilkenny.
