A site of 1.38 acres near the Point Depot in the Dublin docklands has come on the market through Jones Lang LaSalle with a guide price of around £7 million. The site fronts on to Mayor Street Upper and Sheriff Street Upper and runs alongside the 40-acre Spencer Dock area where Treasury Holdings and CIE are expected to lodge a revised planning application for a huge office and apartment scheme following the refusal of planning permission for a £1.2 billion development.
The site for sale is already cleared of buildings and is occupied by Jones Oil. Whoever buys the land can secure planning approval from the Dublin Docklands Development Authority provided it conforms with the pending planning scheme for the area. Des Lennon of the selling agents says the site is suitable for a range of uses within an area that is evolving rapidly.
