While some price sectors in the Dublin housing market have taken a hit in recent weeks, there seems to be no shortage of buyers for expensive new homes - at least in the Castleknock area. Last weekend Hooke and MacDonald sold no less than 10 new houses at Park Manor, Carpenterstown Road, priced between £590,000 and £660,000 €749,145-€838,027). This leaves only two more available. Clearly, the new homes sector is being helped by the drop in interest rates and the expectation that they will be cut by at least another half of one per cent in the next few weeks.
