Developer Maple Holdings, headed up by Galway's Gerry Purcell, is launching City Square on Gloucester Street North, Dublin 2.

The scheme is being released from plans today at the Baggot Street offices of Hooke & MacDonald.

City Square is between Lombard Street and City Quay, behind the Grant Holdings office block.

It is adjacent to the multi-million docklands regeneration project.

It is also within easy walking distance of Dart stations at Tara and Pearse streets.

The IFSC, Trinity College, Merrion Square and Grafton Street are also convenient.

The scheme comprises 27 apartments in all. It is six storeys in height with brick and glazed elevation.

A landscaped residents' courtyard is being developed to the rear of the scheme.

Prices for the first phase of 15 apartments now being released are from €360,000 for one-bedroom apartments with 43sq m (460sq ft). Two-bedroom units with 68sq m (730sq ft) are from €460,000.

Underground car-parking spaces can be purchased for an additional €40,000.

City Square will be ready for occupation from early 2008, according to the selling agent.

Kitchens and bathrooms are high quality pre-built pod units and they will each include full wall and floor tiling.

The kitchens come complete with all electrical appliances as standard.

All of the apartments have balconies and all of the bedrooms are doubles.

The docklands area is undergoing phenomenal change. A number of leading financial and legal firms have relocated to the locality, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Matheson Ormsby Prentice, Grant Thornton and Beauchamps.

Many new shops, bars, restaurants and gyms have opened in the immediate area, including the Milano restaurant, a Fresh foodstore, KC Peaches Cafe, Ely Wine Bar and an Educo Gym.
