No 44: for sale for €1m: A top-floor penthouse at an exclusive apartment complex in Foxrock has a price tag of €1 million.
Knight Frank Ganly Walters is handling the sale of 44 Hollybrook, which is in a luxury scheme on Brighton Road in Dublin 18.
The well-presented 147sq m (1,593sq ft) apartment has a large open-plan living area, a kitchen/breakfast room and two large double bedrooms (one en suite).
Developed by Seán Dunne of Mountbrook Homes, Hollybrook has a 24-hour concierge service, lavish common areas, beautiful gardens and a leisure suite with sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and a gym. Two car-parking spaces and lock-up storage are included in the price.
No 42 €3m+ penthouse for charity:The penthouse apartment which developer Seán Dunne said last week he would donate to the Niall Mellon Trust is number 42 Hollybrook. This three-bedroom three-storey apartment has 339sq m (4,300sq ft) of space, including a 74sq m (800sq ft) conservatory.
Accommodation includes a large entrance hall, sittingroom, diningroom and kitchen/breakfastroom decorated by interior designer Helen Turkington. Mr Dunne announced that he would give the apartment, which he values at over €3m, to two charities - the Niall Mellon Township Trust and the Mandela Rhodes Foundation - when he was in South Africa last week, working as a volunteer for Niall Mellon's charity.
He has left it up to Mr Mellon to decide how to dispose of the property. This week Mr Mellon said the Trust had not yet decided how to handle its sale because "it all happened so quickly. We're going to have to look at all the options," he said, although he added "if some well-meaning citizen offered us money, we could take it." - Frances O'Rourke
