A UK fashion retailer is to pay key money of over £400,000 for the Dunkin' Donuts shop at Grafton Street, Dublin 2. The Friends Provident building occupies a strong trading position at the junction of Grafton Street and Harry Street and is rented at £106,000 per annum. The basement is sub-let to Bruxelles bar at an annual rent of £11,000. A rent review is due in September, 1998. The building has over 3,000 square feet on five levels, 849 at street level and 389 on a mezzanine. The Dunkin' Donuts outlet at The Square, in Tallaght, is to be taken over by fast-food operator Abrakebabra. It paid a premium of around £60,000 for a unit of 1,130 square feet on the third level, which is rented at £52,500. Another retailer paid £10,000 for the key to the Dunkin' Donuts shop in Bellyfermot Shopping Arcade. Patricia Crisp of McCabe Crisp and Partners handled the sales and Neil Love of Druker Fanning advised both the UK company moving into Grafton Street and Abrakebabra.
