The UK card retailer, House of Cards, has leased a shop at the GPO Arcade in Dublin 2. The 425 sq ft premises (there is also a similar sized basement) is being rented at £27,000 per annum by the new tenant, which also has outlets in St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, Blanchardstown and Dun Laoghaire.
Jones Lang LaSalle, which acted for the landlord, has also acted for Ecco Shoes, which has acquired the leasehold interest in the former Johnsons Leather Shop at 11 Wicklow Street. In addition to the premium of £160,000, the trader will also be paying a rent of 24,000 for the premises, which has 855 sq ft of retail space and a basement.
