A round-up of this week's motorcycle news
Unveiling the new Bimota DB8
Based on the DB7 superbike, this machine appears to follow the same principle as the Aprilia Tuono, with street-fighter handlebars instead of clip-ons and a small nose fairing instead of full plastics. The frame, swingarm, suspension and brakes are the same as the DB7. The new Bimota will be unveiled properly at the Milan Motorcycle Show in November.
New Honda 125 by year's end
Honda is set to launch its new CBF125 at the end of the year. With fuel prices volatile and responsibility for the environment weighing down the public conscience, more and more people are considering the motorbike for transport.
According to Honda, its new 125 is "fun, fast and hassle-free". Its fuel-injected engine will deliver plenty of power and torque for a pleasurable ride through the city and it complies within EURO-3 level emission stipulations.
