SKERRIES 100The most popular road races in the south of Ireland, the Skerries 100 road races, will kick off in Fingal at the weekend.Practice takes place on Friday, and roads will be closed from 3pm to 9.30pm. ITALIAN AWARDSLast month Italy hosted the World's Most Beautiful Motorcycle award. Held in Milan's Theatre of the Istituto Europeo di Design, the jury consisted of fashion designers, architects, artists, designers and experts of transportation design
The first prize in the fully faired streetbike category went to the machine oozing sumptuous Italian style and sleek good looks; the Ducati 1098 superbike. The Bimota DB6 Delirio won the unfaired streetbike category, and the ever-popular Vespa S scooped the first prize in the scooter category. And Castiglioni's extravagant dream machine the MV Agusta F4CC took a first in the special series prize. The international jury also decided to assign two special awards to the Piaggio MP3 and to the Kymco Bring 125.
LIMITED EDITION: THE INTRUDERSuzuki has announced the introduction of a limited edition of its sports cruiser, the Suzuki Intruder M1800R. "Following its launch last year, where the 1783cc machine sold out in a matter of weeks, Suzuki has secured a limited run of the iconic model, featuring a special edition blue colour scheme with a retro white stripe," according to Suzuki's Luke Plummer.
The Intruder quickly reached cult status less than a year after it went on sale, and boasts the largest engine pistons of any passenger car or motorbike on earth.
With a recommended retail price of around €13,957, only 75 of these machines will be made available in pearl vigour blue and glass splash white colour scheme.

MOTORCYCLE AND SCOOTER SHOWThe International Motorcycle and Scooter Show's organisers have confirmed the dates for the 2007 event. It will run from November 23rd to December 2nd in the NEC in Birmingham, England.
