Routes to avoid around the country during the week ahead
DUBLIN: LUAS works are more extensive on the Naas Rd from Bluebell and Davitt Rd over the next few months. Expect more delays than usual.
Road sweeping on N81 from Cheeverstown Rd and Old Bridge Rd from 10am to 4pm until Friday.
Clonsilla Road closed at level crossing from 6pm on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday for repair work. Alternative route is Luttrellstown Road, Porterstown Road and Clonsilla Road.
Emergency works on Summerhill Parade at NCR as far as Richmond Rd because of footpath collapse. Cones on the road in both directions. Works in place until Friday, March 14.
Traffic down to one lane both ways, taking up bus lanes, on Malahide Road between Blunden Drive and Greencastle Road. In place until March 14, but no serious delays at the moment.
Junction layout works at the Longmile Rd / Naas Rd junction. Delays especially at peak times. New traffic signals in place at new junction. Inbound motorists turning right onto Longmile Road should bear left and use two roundabout type lanes at left of junction.
Demolition works at Tallaght's old town centre at junction of Greenhills Road and Old Tallaght Road. Works between 9am and 5pm, including Saturdays, until about next Friday. Minor disruption.
One-way system in Lucan Village from Italian Embassy on Main Street to junction with Lower Lucan Road until about mid-March. Traffic diverted away from Lucan Village towards Liffey Bridge.
Re-alignment works on Greenhills Rd between Airton Rd and Old Tallaght Rd until about October. Temporary traffic lights and single-lane restrictions in place. Works between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday. When works are complete, Greenhills Road will be extended to meet junction of Tallaght Bypass.
KILDARE: Roadworks on N7 between Kill and Blackchurch today from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Traffic reduced to one lane northbound.
MEATH/DUBLIN: Roadworks on N2 at Wards Cross between Ashbourne and Finglas until about mid-March on weekdays between 9.30am and 4pm. Temporary lights in place. Delays during non- peak hours.
WEXFORD: Until next Friday, stop-go system in place at pedestrian lights on Gorey's Main Street on N11. Restrictions from 8am to 5.30pm from Tuesday to Thursday and then from 7am, to 3pm on Friday. Works in place until mid-May but restrictions change.
LOUTH: New road on N1 in Drogheda at entrance to Brianstown Village on Sunday. New one-way system on Patrick's Street with number of restrictions - these alter as works progress. Extra traffic to South Mall and Grand Parade.
LIMERICK / CLARE: Works on Ennis-Limerick rail line until about end of April. Trains substituted with buses between Ennis and Limerick. No change in departure times.
WATERFORD: Abbey Road closed for renewal work to Abbey Road railway bridge. A one-way system is in place.
