Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN: Roads closed on Fri, July 1st from 3pm until 6.30pm and Sat July 2nd from 9.30am until 6pm: R127 from Balcunnin Cross northeasterly towards Skerries past Milverton House to first right hand intersection, the Baldongan - Milverton Rd southerly to intersection with Baldongan - Skerries Rd (Golf Road), portion of Baldongan - Skerries Rd (Golf Road) southwesterly to Baldongan Cross, portion of the Ladyswell Rd - Ballykea Rd (Loughshinny Rd) from Baldongan Cross to Balcunnin Cross.
From Mon July 4th until Thurs July 7th, Shanganagh Rd closed at Commons Rd, for Shanganagh River Management Scheme. Diversions: northbound traffic diverted via Shanganagh Rd, Dublin Rd, N11, Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Church Rd and Shanganagh Rd, and southbound diverts via Shanganagh Rd, Church Rd, Wyattville Dual Carriageway, N11 Dublin Rd, Shanganagh Rd.
Roadworks on Enniskerry Rd (between Burrow Road to Slate Cabin Lane): road closed until July 15th.
WICKLOW: Resurfacing N81 south of Baltinglass to Carlow County Bounds - stop/go system will be in place.
Southbound carriageway of N11 Newtownmountkennedy bypass is single, 6am-4pm daily. Two lanes available from 4pm, but 50km/h speed limit.
MEATH: Works on Main St Enfield - use Enfield Bypass.
LAOIS: Works on N7 between Borris-In-Ossory and Pike of Rushall, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8 am to 3pm each Saturday. Stop/go system and traffic lights - delays expected.
OFFALY: N62 Roscrea Road/ Birr closed from junction of Crinkle Road to junction of Military Road for 1km.
CLARE: Works on N18 south of Bunratty. Both carriageways reduced to single lane. Allow extra time, long delays expected especially between between 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm.
Allow extra time if you are going to Shannon Airport in particular.
LIMERICK: N21 closed between Western Inn and Feals Bridge Creamery, 9am to 6pm. Delays expected. Through traffic Castle Island to Abbeyfeale diverts at Western Inn through Shanafona into Abbeyfeale, and traffic from Abbeyfeale diverts in Abbeyfeale through Knocknacrohy to Western Inn.
GALWAY: Major works on N6 between Derrydonnell and Craughwell.
CAVAN: Bellananagh to Kilnaleck Rd (R154) closed for resurfacing.
DONEGAL: Roadworks on N15 between Ballyshannon and Bundoran at Portnason south of Ballyshannon.
SLIGO: Until tomorrow Queens Store Road, south of Hughes Bridge closed for tie-in of Inner Relief Road with Hughes Bridge.
TIPPERARY: Works on N52, Borrisokane/Birr Rd at Carrig. Temporary traffic lights.
Works on N7 between Bushfield and Ballywilliam, halfway between Nenagh and Birdhill on N7. Expect delays.
KERRY: Works on N70 Ring of Kerry.
Traffic restrictions between Kells Station and Cahirciveen. Delays expected.
CORK: On Weds July 6th, Thurs July 7th and Fri July 8th, Jack Lynch Tunnel and Little Island Access Rd will close from 8pm until 7am the following day, for routine maintenance work.
