Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN: Roadways on north and east of the square in St Anne's Park, Shankill closed for upgrading roadway, works to the open space and house building. Alternative route via south side of square.
Hillcrest Road closed at Kilgobbin Road. Alternative route via Kilgobbin Road, Enniskerry Road and vice versa.
Daleview, Ballybrack to junction with Church Rd is closed. Alternative route via Wyattville Dual Carraigeway, Wyattville Rd.
KILDARE:
Castlewarden North Junction closed with N7 Dublin-bound, for N7 Naas Road Widening and Interchanges Scheme. Alternative route via Ardclough Road (L6021) junction with N7. Diversion signs will be erected. Local access maintained at all times.
MEATH:
Roadworks on N2 north of Ashbourne, part of the national roadworks programme, expected to continue for four weeks. Delays expected, take alternative routes.
Main N3 from Bloomsbury to Kells closed for roadworks, 8pm to 6am each night.
WESTMEATH:
Until Sunday 23rd October, the Enfield to Johnstownbridge road closed from Enfield Bypass to outskirts of Johnstownbridge. All traffic should divert via the newly opened R402 route approx 400 metres west of the closure. This closure is required to complete resurfacing works.
LAOIS:
On October 24th, roadworks on N7 Main St, Mountrath from 6.30am-7pm daily. Southbound traffic diverts at Togher, Portlaoise, then through Abbeyleix, and Ballcolla emerging at Derin Cross. Northbound traffic diverts at Derin Cross, follows same diversions north. Expect delays. Only local traffic will be accommodated as a result, say authorities.
Works on N7 at Clonenagh between Mountrath and Portlaoise, from 8am to 6pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3pm Friday and Saturday. A Stop/Go system will be in operation.
KILKENNY:
Until Friday November 4th works in Mullinavat. Traffic lights from 9.30am to 4pm each day.
GALWAY:
Works on N59 Moycullen Road. Single lane traffic.
LIMERICK:
Until 6pm on October 26th (L1116) Golf Links Road closed, 24 hours a day. Local traffic is accommodated and diversions are clearly signposted.
TIPPERARY:
Roadworks on N7 at Boher on Nenagh side of Birdhill until the end of October. Delays expected.
Resurfacing on N8/N24 Roundabout at Cahir Bypass. Traffic disruptions on both N24 and N8 leading to the roundabout.
MONAGHAN:
Road surfacing on N2 Carrickmacross Bypass at Dundalk Road Interchange, just south of Carrickmacross on the mainline N2. All motorists are advised to drive with care when approaching road works zone.
SLIGO:
Road surfacing on N59 at Crohnagh, Ballisodare, until further notice.
