Routes to avoid around the country this week
DUBLIN: No access to Kilshane Rd at Kilshane Cross until Friday for realignment of Kilshane Rd where it joins new N2 Finglas to Ashbourne road; diversions to Blanchardstown/ Mulhuddart/Castleknock areas: M50/N3 Navan Rd, N2/Ward Cross/Ward Rd/Church Rd/ Cruiserath Rd/ Blanchardstown Rd North.
Yellow Walls Rd, Malahide, closed up Millview Rd/Sea Rd junction until August 31st forresurfacing; diversions via Swords/Malahide Rd and Estuary Rd.
MEATH/ DUBLIN: R125 Swords -Ashbourne Rd closed to about August 26 for major works on N2 at Nine Mile Stone; extreme caution advised on N2 at Nine Mile Stone (south of Ashbourne); diversions in place.
WICKLOW: Southbound carriageway of N11 Newtown- mountkennedy by-pass single 6am-4pm daily until late July; two lanes available from 4pm for evening rush hour but 50km/h limit in place.
KILDARE: Works on Main St, Castledermot; single lane traffic.
GALWAY: Galway Arts Festival until next Sunday; expect delays. Works end today works with single lane traffic on R334 at Glencorrib (between Headford and Cross). Galway-Castlebar traffic should use N17 or N 84.
LAOIS: Works until end of July on N7 between Borris-In-Ossory and Pike of Rushall; works from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 8am-3pm each Saturday; stop/go system and traffic lights in operation; delays expected.
OFFALY: Works on N80 Moate- Tullamore Rd Monday to Thursday until about end of July.
TIPPERARY: Works until mid-October on N24 Cahir/ Tipperary Rd at Ballydrehid, 4km west of Cahir; extreme caution advised.
LIMERICK: L1144 Rosbrien Rd closed until Friday August 26 for sewerage work; 24-hour closure; access for local traffic; diversions in place.
CLARE: Works on N18 south of Bunratty; Limerick- Shannon and Shannon-Limerick carriageways reduced to single lanes until August 31; long delays expected 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm.
SLIGO: Diversion in area south of Hughes Bridge (Queens Store Road) until further notice for tie-in of new inner relief road with bridge; diversions via Lynn's Place, Pirn Mill Rd and Ballast Quay.
KERRY: Until Monday August 29, road closed from Currans Cross to Currans Village; diversions in place.
Until this Friday, stop/go system and minor diversions at works on N22 at Scart Cross.
Works on N70 from Steelroe to Kilderry until late August; traffic system in place; drivers advised to drive slowly; expect delays.
Works on N86 east of Annascaul on Tralee-Dingle road.
Works on R555 Listowel- Abbeyfeale road, traffic lights in operation; delays likely.
