GLASGOW’S new Riverside Museum, which was designed by Zaha Hadid. Though the Iraqi-born starchitect lives in London it’s her first major commission to open in Britain.
The museum fronts a bend in the River Clyde, historically the central waterway for Glasgow’s shipbuilding industry. Model ships and train engines are displayed alongside cars, bikes, trams and even prams. There’s also a re-creation of an early 20th century street.
