Butterfly workshop
Ireland has 33 species of butterfly. They are easy to identify and are good indicators of climate change.
With a little bit of effort, anyone can tell their Peacocks from their Tortoiseshells. Wicklow Mountains National Park will host a workshop on July 16th at the Education Centre, Glendalough, starting with a lecture to learn about Ireland’s butterflies followed by a walk to net and examine butterflies in the field. This event is free of charge and for adults only. Places limited to 20. Booking essential. Tel: 0404-45425. Bookings taken from today.
