GOREADERSwho might find themselves in the environs of Grenada, Spain, next week can enjoy a plethora of musical delights at the 60th Festival Internacional de Musica y Danza de Granada. Around the Alhambra and all over the city the streets will be filled with the sound of Spanish guitars, the click of castanets and the whirl of flamenco dancing. The programme features around 40 shows. Next Saturday, July 2nd, at the Monasterio de San Jeronimo, vocal polyphony group Stile Antico presents a free programme that includes Spanish Renaissance religious music with works by Victoria, Morales and Guerrero (granadafestival.org).

Catch: The concert starts at midday and is a great way to escape the intense heat.
