USB Bracelet

Wear your data on your sleeve with this USB Bracelet. It had to be Scandinavian, of course, as it’s so simple, well-made and cool. It’s a perfect sort of a geek chic present for a cultural nomad with an eye for technology. Made with a real leather braided strap, it uses a 2GB USB key as the latch. So you’re always ready to archive away a few images or spring a folder of files from your wrist. The fact that you might never do any of these things doesn’t matter, it’s the fact that you could. It comes in a range of sizes, with several strap and USB colour combinations. Fits all standard format USB slots.

Leica X2 Paul Smith Edition

Another cross-fertilisation of technology and design here, if slightly further up the food chain as there are only going to be 1,500 of these Leica X2 Paul Smith Edition cameras. Smith shoots many of his own advertising campaigns, so he’s more than a casual snapper.

This limited edition model has several signature PS touches: the basic X2 is covered with racing green leather. Zesty stripes of colour top and bottom are familiar Smith details, along with a playful, doodled icon on the pop-up flash. As for the camera itself, well it’s all Leica. Say no more. But pay a little more.

Leica X2 Paul Smith Edition €2,400, available from November, sign up at paulsmith.co.ukand find a video about the collaboration on betweenideas.blogspot.com.

Moleskin Beer Journal

We can be pretty sure that keeping track of your input is not quite what Moleskin has in mind here. It’s more for the beer aficionado recording their musing as they globetrot. With pouring tips and a glossary of beer terminology, it’s got 240 pages to record your tasting notes.
