Burton's Mix Master GlovesIt might just be a little early to start talking about skiing, but if winter comes in as heavy as it did last year, we might be rolling out the thermals before we know it. So here's a bit of gear to see you through in the wrap-up.

Burton’s Mix Master Gloves mean that you don’t have to fumble when it comes to controlling your MP3 player or smartphone. The back of one of the gloves has the play button and other controls built-in. You plug a dongle into your player and it locks up (wirelessly) with your in-glove remote. So the pinkies stay pink and you can still mix your playlist.

The cost might chill you to the bone for a pair of gloves, however tech they might be.

Powerbag In Bag ChargerPowerbag has partnered with luggage label, Ful, to create a range of bags that can charge up to four gadgets on the go.

Recent migrants to touchscreen smartphones will have realised that these babies are a lot thirstier for juice than an old “dumbphone”. So the one charge a day isn’t always enough.

Just open the charging compartment where there is a selection of connectors, plug in and power up. Powerbag claims it’s capable of completely recharging two smartphones from flat. And with each Powerbag having an Apple connector, micro and mini USBs and a standard USB port, all kit is catered for. There are Powerbags to fit any calling from tablet carriers to briefcases to backpacks.

Moonlander Fat BikeAs Surly Bikes might say themselves: behold the fatness! The Moonlander is another tubby tubular to roll off its production line.

Based on the popular Pugsley frame, the Moonlander has monster 4.7-inch tyres to make light work of the gnarliest track. The tyres will handle snow well too, so you can pedal off-piste perhaps, as well as off-track.

The Moonlander features Surly 4130 CroMoly steel, with 135mm-spaced, 28mm-offset, rear-loading Surly horizontal dropouts (track ends) with a derailleur hanger. The Moonlander will be available for Christmas and there are Surly dealers here, but we don’t know yet if they’ll stock it.
