Titanica:It's the centenary of the launch of the ill-fated wonder, the RMS Titanic– and Titanica, a major new exhibition at the Ulster Folk Transport Museum aims to bring the era in which the great ship was built alive.

The museum is always a great place to visit because of the interactive way in which it brings history alive – and there’s plenty of room to roam around – and this exhibition recreates the daily life of the Belfast workers who built the ship, from what they wore to where they lived and what their working day was like.

A recreation of a carpenter's workshop and Kelly's coal yard shows what daily life was like and visitors can visit the post office to buy souvenir telegrams or drop into the printers for a Titanicticket and newspaper of the time.

At the silent cinema there are Titanicmovies and you can dress in Edwardian-style costumes and have your photo taken. Have a look at the website of the Ulster Folk Transport Museum, which is on the Bangor Road, Cultra, to see the extraordinary photos of the Titanic.
