Só Sligo food festival
- Food festivals tend to be adult affairs, but this weekend the Só Sligo food festival has made a particular effort to include children that goes beyond the usual stalls with face-painters and the like.
- At noon today there is Krispy Bun Making for at the Tobergal Lane/ Rockwood Parade open-air market (€2 contribution; adult supervision necessary). Over at Quayside Shopping Centre, under-12s can make a masterpiece with vegetables and cookie cutters.
- At 1pm children with an adventurous palate can go along to the Treasures of the Sea buffet lunch at the Tobergal Lane Cafe, where just-shucked oysters are on the menu (adults €10, children €5).
- It’s too late to the enter the Junior Masterchef contest, but you can watch the final at St Angela’s College in Clogherevagh from 10am today.
- Tomorrow at 2pm, a free Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for under-10s takes place at Quayside Shopping Centre.
