Grand Canal walk: starting next Wednesday, a fundraising walk for the Alone charity begins in Dublin and continues over four days to finish at the Shannon on Saturday, June 4th. The stages are: Hanover Quay to Sallins; Sallins to Edenderry; Edenderry to Tullamore; and Tullamore to Shannon Harbour. Everybody is welcome to support and participate. See alone.ie.
Bug safari: butterflies, dragonflies, ladybirds, spiders! Free family bug walk on Saturday, June 11th at 11am and 2.30pm. Meet at the Information Office, Upper Lake, Glendalough.
